2. Clone the repository

git clone command
git clone command is one of the most basic and essential Git commands. It allows you to download (or “clone”) an entire Git repository from a remote server to your local computer. This can be useful when you want to start working with an existing project or contribute to an open-source project.
The basic syntax of the git clone command is as follows:
git clone <repository-url>
<repository-url> is the URL of the Git repository you want to clone.
<repository_url> with the URL of the repository you want to download.

For example, let’s clone the Git repository hosted at GitHub ⤴.
Open any web browser and navigate to https://github.com ⤴.

When you land on the target repository page, you can:
- copy the URL from the browser address box on the top of the page or

codebutton. This will display the dialog box from which you can also copy the correct URL for the repo.
Open your terminal or command prompt and navigate to the directory where you want to store the repository. Then, run the
